Dr. Ducharme is a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Psychologist in practice for over 35 years. She has specialized in the treatment of trauma and abuse as well as interpersonal violence. She believes strongly in preserving the dignity of individuals and families and strives to create an atmosphere where clients feel comfortable working as a team with her to develop better problem-solving skills and achieve their personal goals for treatment.
Dr. Ducharme has witnessed the destruction to parents and children going through and in the aftermath of divorce. As a result, she has devoted much of her time to working as a neutral mental health coach on a Collaborative Divorce Team. Dr. Ducharme is dedicated to helping families survive divorce with dignity, respect and with the least amount of trauma to the children and the entire family. She also works with families, post judgement, as a parent coordinator to facilitate a healthier style of co-parenting. She is a past co-president of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group.

Dr. Ducharme is the author of "Assessment and Treatment of Dissociative Identity Disorder" as well as "Must I Turn the Other Cheek", a book about the effects of premature forgiveness on recovery from sexual abuse. She has lectured locally and nationally on many subjects, including parenting, communication, trauma, cybersex, anxiety disorders, domestic violence, and Dissociative Identity Disorder. She is a frequent guest on both radio and television where she provides information on a variety of mental health issues. She has also been a frequent contributor to newspaper and magazines on a variety of mental health topics and has had several articles published in peer reviewed journals.
